The MGH Institute of Health Professions (the Institute) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean in the School of Nursing. The Dean is also appointed as the Associate Chief Nurse for Academic Affairs at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

The next Dean will have a record of leadership in teaching, scholarship, and practice. Their credentials will merit appointment at the rank of full professor, including a doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred); a graduate degree in nursing; licensure in nursing (or license eligible) in Massachusetts

Founded by MGH in 1977, the Institute is an independent, not-for-profit health professions school accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. The Institute’s School of Nursing offers the following programs accredited by CCNE: accelerated BSN, direct-entry MS, MS-Advanced Practice Nursing (post-BSN), MS-Leadership in Nursing Education (post-BSN), and DNP.
