Full-Time or Part-Time: Full-Time

Salary Range: $130k – $150k

Job Summary: The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees clinical support staff, including nurses and medical technicians, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with health regulations. In addition to managing the nursing department, the DON is responsible for risk management activities, including developing and implementing protocols to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and mitigating risk. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to manage risk across the organization.

Responsibilities/Duties:

· Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.

· Ensure effective coordination of staff schedules and continuing education opportunities.

· Lead quality assurance and risk management activities, including managing the risk management plan and conducting risk investigations.

· Chair the Risk Management and Infection Control Committees, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory protocols.

· Supervise compliance with OSHA and NJ regulations, preparing reports for the Quality Improvement Committee.

· Oversee the ordering of medical supplies and equipment to maintain inventory.

· Assist in developing program activities, including budget preparation, grant proposals, and strategic planning.

· Provide ongoing clinical education and training to staff.

· Report on department activities to state, federal, and funding agencies as required.

· Promote healthcare benefits within the community and support patient referrals for comprehensive care.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

· Valid NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License.

· Experience in nursing administration in an ambulatory care setting, including staff supervision.

· Strong leadership skills and experience in quality improvement and risk management.

· Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

· Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and risk mitigation processes.

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present to large groups.

· Ability to analyze and interpret regulations and professional documents.

· Experience with clinical and population health initiatives.

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
