Broward College invites applications for a full-time contract eligible teaching position in Nursing – North Campus.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

· Demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, academic achievement, and persistence; (3) technological competence; and (4) the ability to use skills and strategies that engage students in ways that facilitate learning and prepare students for productive lives.

· Facilitate the needs of different learners across programs by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students.

· Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.

· Engage in continued professional development, such as attending educational and disciplinary conferences.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

· Minimum Master’s Degree in Nursing

· Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred

· Current unrestricted State of Florida License as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner

· Doctorate in Nursing preferred.

· College-level teaching and Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

· 2- 3 years clinical and classroom experience in an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
