The 1971 Project

The Capital Campaign to Reimagine NBNA

Today the National Black Nurses Association, Inc is announcing its first every major capital fundraising campaign to solicit donations that will be used to secure the future of the association.

This year marks the 53rd anniversary of the founding of NBNA thus, the campaign has been named the “The 1971 Project” to honor the year of its founding. Donations are being requested in any increment of $19.71 (Nineteen dollars and seventy-one cents) in keeping with our campaign theme but we will gladly accept your donation in any amount you wish to give.

Campaign Priority Areas

All funds raised will be used to support and enhance the ability of NBNA to implement its mission and vision well into the future. To this extent NBNA particularly has the need for resources to fund the following four priority areas.

Florida Conference Restoration Fund

Donate to this fund to support NBNA in paying its hotel cancellation fee incurred from moving its 2024 52nd Annual Institute and Conference from the state of Florida to California.

LPN/LVN Advancement Fund

Donate to this fund to support our Licensed Practical Nurse and Licensed Vocation Nurse members to advance their careers in various ways.

NBNA Member Engagement Fund

Donate to this fund to support the many ways in which we engage current and future NBNA members through scholarships, mentoring, and programing. We will also establish an NBNA emergency member use fund with resources donated to this fund to support emergent and wellness needs of all NBNA members.

NBNA Reimagine Fund

Donate to this fund to support all the innovative initiatives being undertaken by NBNA, such as our new website, enhanced infrastructure, social media platforms, membership database, and international chapter expansion.
