DEPARTMENT OF NURSING

Otterbein University invites qualified RNs to apply for the position of Instructor (NTT) or Assistant Professor (TT) of Nursing – Pediatrics Focus.

QUALIFICATIONS: TT: Doctorate in nursing or related field. NTT: Master’s degree in nursing. Both: Current, active Ohio RN license without unresolved board action, or the ability to secure a license prior to the start of work. Knowledge in nursing appropriate to teach at the BSN level; teaching experience in BSN programs; capacity for productive scholarship (TT) & experience using technology-enhanced & online tools. Preferred – NTT: Enrolled in a doctoral program. Both: CNE certification; two years of full-time clinical work as an RN or part-time equivalent in the past five years; experience in pediatrics nursing, curriculum, evaluation; electronic communication, social media, virtual meeting tools.

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach a range of BSN courses (e.g., pediatrics, mother-infant; nutrition; evidence-based practice, informatics, research; high-acuity) that align with qualifications & experience. TT: Productive scholarship. TT & NTT: Service to department & University; academic advising; role model by engaging in a concurrent clinical practice; professional development.
